Functional Integration

Moshe Feldenkrais, the founder of the Feldenkrais Method, was at the frontier of discovering neuroplasticity. Functional Integration is the hands-on part of the Feldenkrais Method. To me, it is helping the body to re-learn how to move with and around injury. For people without injury, it is a way to improve your functioning be it smoother Tai Chi, ultra running, or better problem solving and clarity.

What to Expect

The Feldenkrais Method is extremely gentle, allowing the nervous system to relax and integrate new information. I spent the bulk of my four year training visualizing the movements my physical body was unable to do, only to find that with time my body found more and new ways to move with less pain. This is a great way to shift into your parasympathetic nervous system, thus relieving anxiety, and allowing healing to occur.

About Ian Fitton

A decade of working with chronic pain from back injury and surgery has driven me deep into the healer's journey which included becoming a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (GCFP). I am fueled by the love for my family and the desire to share and hopefully benefit others from what I have learned. The more I am in my body the more I am alive in the moment!
